Mercantile Hotel

Alan Traynor Consulting Engineers Ltd provided Civil and Structural Engineering Services associated with the Planning Application to convert the existing Grade 2 listed Mercantile Hotel and adjoining office building into a 90 No. bed Hotel.

Design works at the Planning Stage necessitated the full structural design of the building as required by Dublin City Council Planning Department to ascertain the extent of the structural works which may impact the existing Architectural Features of the building.

Works also involved an additional storey onto the existing structure and a new 5 storey extension to the rear of the property.
